Gödöllô Castle

The Royal Palace of Gödöllô is one of the largest Baroque Palaces in Hungary. It is unparalleled for its colorful historical past and renowned for its style, setting and architectural value. Empress Elisabeth, the much-admired, beautiful Sissi, who was famous for her modern thinking spent 2000 nights here, more than in Schönbrunn.

The Palace regained its past splendor in 1996. The surrounding park is undergoing gradual renovation and - on the completion of the front gardens – the 26-hectare ancient park is beginning to regain its former beauty. The castle with its several rooms, the biggest having a capacity of 120 persons, offers a royal venue for endless events.
